Animal side?

I've recently made a new friend (The first since I've moved) who can draw much better than I can. I find it fascinating and somewhat inspiring to just sit and watch as he draws something. He has a story to go with some characters he's drawn up, and shared it with me. Let's just say that he's not the best writer I've seen. So we made something of a trade, I'd fix up his writing, and he'd draw up some characters from my story. I've greatly improved what little of his story he had so far, and he drew up the three characters I gave him descriptions for: Kintair, Liana, and Snow-Paw. (Someday I'll post them here... someday...)

But there's something he'd offered to do even before that, and I've been thinking about it for a long time. He said that he was drawing people he knew as animals and anthros. I like the idea, and have become rather eager, seeing some similar things here, but I'm having trouble deciding on what kind of animal I should be.

My first reaction was to pick fox, but since that's so common I'm being cautious, making sure that I make a more informed decision so I can honestly say that I didn't just follow the crowd. I'd taken the quiz from The Golden Compass to see what my dæmon would be and got a hare (Her name is Aleone), and it is a fair representation. I've more recently taken several other quizes and got a surprisingly wide range of results, mouse, horse, lion, even a caterpillar. One from those that I really liked was Puma (or a mountain lion, or cougar), but wolf, an old favorite, also came up (twice).

Fox, Hare, Puma, Wolf... I'm drawn to all of them and can't decide. If anyone comes here and knows of a way to help me decide between these four, or of another way of discerning what animal fits me best, please speak up.
